Dated August 27, 2009: Shepherd Book comes through on his promise to teach Glen Batemen how to cook. After some hijinks with flour, eggs, and other ingredients, pancakes are magically created. In the midst of all that, Shepherd Book’s unfinished business appears to be finished, and he heads home, much to Glen’s dismay.

Whenever the island went through another bout of mischief - as he sometimes kindly called it - Dale managed to put in time in the Council office to do whatever needed to be done.
